That's a WHD issue.
"Normal" original version doesn't support hd install.
As for now, Andre Barton's version seems to be the best option to play from hdd.

On my A2000 (512KB + 512KB and 2MB fast) the original version seems to be playing without any problems, except for the required disks swapping. (Which as stated above is a real pain in the ...). But yes, it is not installable on hd.

I tried 5 different variants of WHDLoad or JST with no success because all require 1MB chip.

I made a comment on the other forum section for this.

I really would like to have Space Hulk the hd.

Andre Barton's hdd hack didn't work? The included readme has some tips for making it run on 512k chip machines.

yes, with 512k chip RAM and 1,5 MB Slow Fast game works from hdd as far as you have to start the mission. The game stop loading becuase require 1 MB chip RAM for hdd.

author of this installer says that to run this game with 512k machine you have toggle any diskdrive (they consume chip ram), run workbench without startup-sequence and to use add21k command to restore more memory.

Please stop talking about the Barton version. The musics are awful, big problem of synchro.
I'm in contact with the JST version's creator and he can do something with the Whdload version. Cross your fingers and... Hope is back!

Got it working from fastmem yesterday so it's very promising speed-wise too. I don't understand why Galahad did an install that doesn't save and all and noone ever complained (never got back to my ears or on mantis)

The game coding is pretty awful as bits 30 and 31 of the addresses of some table were used as flags, corrupting 32 bits addresses (happens in a few games like RuffNTumble and Pinball Fantasies CD), so you have to fix it while maintaining the flags.

I'll be using this thread to find beta testers, as I'm not very good at this game (read: I suck)

Maybe you can add a trainer (timer limit off and/or energy) to have an easier gameplay. IMO the game is quite difficult.

Save OK, no problem to take objects with right mouse button but... Some glitches on walls and more visible on the statue level 3 of the campaign.

Well.... Just discovered a bad thing ! When you are playing, OK for missions after missions, progression in Deathwing campaign but... After closing the game, relaunch the game and... Mission 1 is back, no save on the file ! Weird !
