GOTEK type emulators that do different drive types?

I know the HxC can be made to work with many types of disk format, but was wondering if anyone knows of a cheapo GOTEK type device that would do Shugart type 800KB disks.

I'm looking to replace my Ensoniq Mirage's floppy drive with an emulator and want to weigh in all options before I shell out for an HxC.
I am also supposing that the same way Gotek emulators have been made to work with the Amiga by replacing the firmware, they could be made to work with any other type of disk drive.

The Mirage's disk format (I think it's the same for all Ensoniq devices) is described here:
http://www.youngmonkey.ca/nose/audio...iskFormat.html

I think the main requirement is that it has 10 512B sectors per track.

Damn I am such an idiot, I didn't think of that option!
Does your firmware work with an Ensoniq Mirage?
Does this work with ANY off the shelf Gotek type emulator?

Thanks Jeff!

A GOTEK emulator will fit better into the Mirage than an HxC, for which I would have to do some hackery fidgeting to get it to work.
Great to know I can use this solution! Wil buy a GOTEK and the needed accessories to flash it ASAP.

?

The HxC Rev F fit perfectly into an Ensoniq Mirage, and have an LCD to browse easily into the SD to select the images, which is better than the 2 digits "display" of the gotek.

You can see some installations there :

I had never seen the Lotharek model that already comes with a frontplate. The installations I had seen made their own frontplates with acrylic to make it fit.

That sure looks great.
