Fair enough, but the PC example I had in mind was this:

Melon Dezign's I feel like a computer

This was a lot sooner than 24 years ago, and I can only assume that Melon mistakenly and brazenly chose a well-known musical piece to sample for their very quirky and enjoyable demo here. Nonetheless, they were disqualified, and I'm saddened that happened. To be honest, the comments explain a lot.

SERIOUSLY? How can ANY claimant of being an Amiga Demo Aficionado not know about the Budbrain Megademos?? Those samples are from the first one, yes, considered a classic, although I personally like the second one a lot as well.

EDIT: I'm talking about Chip here (no offence). I understand the OP might not know where it came from, but Chip specialises in Amiga demos, as far as I know.

@Foebane. I remembered it somehow that it was Budbrain that have made the megademo, but I wasn't sure if it was the first or second. BOWDOWN for you man.

That was later, and at a point where Assembly had grown so large that they couldn't ignore obvious copyright violations.

I felt very disappointed when I heard Koyaanisqatsi by Philip Glass.
C'mon Rob, at least change it a bit....
