Anarchy Online
I get the feeling that I am not the only one on EAB who played Anarchy Online. Is that false?

I don't think that you will find much agreement that an MMO from 2001 is to be considered a "retrogaming" topic

And I thought for a moment you were talking about the classic Amiga demogroup known as Anarchy.

So, what is considered retro gaming when we talk about MMO?? Few years back I played for first time ever Everquest - vanilla game that did not have even map option. (you better knew where you heading and use of hand made maps is required - not just recommended or you will not get far)
One of members of guild played it for many years back when it was released, so he helped us get going and form guild there. That was interesting experience, but not for everyone mostly because it is big time sink... |

I guess some MMO's could be considered "retro MMO's"... Everquest would indeed fit the bill. So does Ultima Online. Not too sure that it would belong in the retrogaming section of EAB though given the target audience of the site, the off-topic gaming section is a safer bet.

Feel free to move the thread.
I played AO for a long time, there was a guy there called MasterBlaster (a big Atrox NanoTechnician!), I am sure he was involved with Amiga for a while. I think he was just a user, cannot recall. |
