Amiga crackers from USA

I always wondered if there were any good crackers on the Amiga from the USA? Or was the scene "dominated" by euro guys?

Well, I also wondered why then it was so hot for groups to have a BBS in the united states (where alot major BBS where located) since almost "everything" was done in europe and the like. :-) - just prestige I guess.

I think so, Canada is part of the America continent, althought it is not a state of the USA

There was The Surge/QTX (and NMS, maybe other groups) and Wolverine (RZR and NMS too)... they are the only two that I can think of right now!

main reason why every release groups whq was located into the usa was the ability to call them for free .

otherwise the usa played a minor role in the amiga scene back them

The thread asks for USA crackers and "american" refers to people of United States nationality -only-.

Most of the games came from Europe so it's only logical most of the activity was there. The few american games I can think of are really early titles.

I can remember the first wave of Euro Amiga cracking groups regularly boasting about their US members and/or prominently greeting their American connections (Bamiga Sector 1, The Champs, Red Sector, Hotline, etc.) Aside from Eaglesoft Inc, as already mentioned, the main function of our transatlantic cousins would appear to be (1) supplier of originals (in the early days) and (2) operators of rudimentary BBS that could be accessed using the phone phreaking tricks of calling cards/AT&T hacks/etc.
