You can't be tied to the past for ever, OS3 is now represents computer prehistory, I'm 65 years old and I think so, let alone a young man who faces for the first time on Amiga, then anyway, if you want, you can customize it to your liking.
I left OS 3.0/3.1 so many years ago for OS3.9, best OS for Amiga ever created.

Maybe you forget that AROS can be installed in Virtual Machine on all PCs, MACs and Linux Systems of last generation so even to install thousands of software will always be very fast.

In addition, you can install AROS directly on all modern compatible PCs and you can also run high quality 3D games at maximum speed.

Compatible and modern is a contradiction here!
AROS is mostly not compatible wit hrecent Hardware.

Only if AROS supports the graphics card, which is mostly not, only a few old cards are supported.

Yes, it is true, but if you want you can assemble a PC with supported hardware,HERE is reported the supported hardware

That's also true, but there are many games that don't need 3D acceleration and work well in VESA too.

a part new icons the substance not change. it is the same AROS of other distro. I tried to make a SATA HD and it works very well as far as i tried to launch OWB. HD is corrupted and lost.
Stop. i don't like an AROS that not seems to watch to future and especially for lacking in 2019 for AMD 3D Acceleration, the 50% of gpu card market. Gallium need to be continued to have full support because many authours insert many OPENGL Softwares.

As much as i like AROS as an alternative OS, it looks like a dead horse to me.
It can not follow the hardware development. I would like to see a modern OS, which reminds me to the good old Amiga days, i had long ago.

I would say that it applies to all Amiga OSs, which in addition to being dead some are buried for 30 years

.... if you are not interested perhaps it would be better not to intervene, this way you make a better impression.
To make the Distro I have worked weeks in the scorching heat, bring at least some respect.

Stop.
Are you talking about Hardisk Virtual or Real?

The AROS Installer should also warn us with a Message saying "You have chosen AHCI Mode to install but AROS does not fully support this yet. The install may fail! Use SATA drive in IDE mode instead."

The native SATA/AHCI driver doesn't always work. If you get errors related to ahci.device, try disabling it. Press E when your chosen boot entry is highlighted in the GRUB menu, scroll down to the ahci.device entry, and delete it with Ctrl-K. Then press Ctrl-X to boot. If your disk isn't accessible at all with this change, you might need to change the SATA controller to IDE legacy mode in the BIOS: however, making this change will likely cause problems booting Windows on the same machine (if it's already installed).

To disable ahci.device permanently, edit the text file "SYS:Arch/pc/grub/grub/cfg", and remove the ahci.device line from all boot entries you intend to use.

Some VirtualBox settings are incompatible with AROS. Do not select ICH9 or ICH6 chipsets, nor SATA drives. Only use AC97 audio.

With HD IDE you should not have any problems, tested OWB on WirtualBox and works great

AROS One v1.1: Download

Tutorial Video: Demonstration of some associations on Dopus4 and Vanderer

Tutorial Video: AROS One installation on HD Virtual Machine

AROS One x86 ABIv0: New version of my free AROS x86 Distro based on the latest Nightly Builds.
In this new version in addition to the new applications there have been significant improvements, among the novelties a correction of my "Drawer Icons" where I improved the appearance and added the classic "Glow" used in the OS3.9 and OS4 Icons.

Also Wanderer (Workbench) in AfA-OS style has been improved, now all or almost all the Graphics, Audio, Video, Archives and Documents files have been associated to the most suitable applications.

Another improvement is on Dopus4, as for Wanderer also on Dopus4 you can now view many of the most common files even without extension, you can now examine and view many files such as Graphic, Sound, Video or various PDF documents including.

Among the new applications included in the new release you will find the excellent MultiPlayer V.A.M.P with a new Skin created by me.

All the associations of Workbench and Dopus are already available also from LiveCD, any operation can be made with the exception of the save, that however can be done if you connect a Pendrive, a MemoryCard or a HD.

Of course, something will have escaped you, and if it does, I can improve it even further according to your needs.
