How to return to workbench after playing a game?

What are the main advantages of WHDLoad?
1. Games load quickly from hard disk.
2. All games have a quit option to return to Workbench.
3. The games are fixed to work on modern machines.
4. No more bothering with ADFs or floppies or disk swapping.
5. You are running the original game, not a pirate version.
6. The games are patched to pass any copy protection.
7. Hiscores or save games can be sent to the hard disk.
8. Bugs or annoying features are fixed.
9. Over 1000 games are currently supported with installs.
10. Game compatibility with emulators is often improved

What key do I press to return to workbench after playing a game?

Now I just reset winuae by pressing F12 or CTRL-Leftwindow tab-rightwindow tab

Depends on the game, it should tell you what key to press before the game loads up though, it's usually something like F10 or PrtSc.

When the WHDLoad info screen appears at the start telling you the title of the game and who made the install, at the bottom of the box it will tell you which key the author of the install has selected as the Quit to Dos key

PrtSc never works for me, thankfully you can change the key in WHDLoad.

I`d like to see a Default key of F10 in any future releases of WHDLoad Games.

How do you change that? WHDload/prefs?

Yes you just edit the whdload.prefs file and change the rawkey

QuitKey=$4b ;rawkey code to quit

That code is for F11, which is the one default one I set for GaemBase Amiga users, obviously you couldn't use it on a real amiga

How odd, it works fine here... are you using it on a real Amiga or WinUAE?

As you say though, you can always change it so it's not the world's biggest problem.
