Saved games not written to disk.
I'm getting a weird problem with a game called Legend installed with WHLoad.
I'm not sure if this is a problem with UAE or WHLoad, but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen the same issue. The game offers 10 save slots. If I save in an empty slot the game saves fine and can be loaded again later, but if I overwrite an old save the game appears to be saved but the change is not committed to the disk. The overwrite does appear to have worked if I reload the save to test it, but if I reset the Amiga and reload then the change has been lost. I am running WinUAE 1.3.3, and Workbench 3.0 loaded from hardfile. Hardfile is not set to read-only. Any ideas why this might be happening? |

Ok I've figured this out myself. Seems WHLoad does not write out to disk when overwriting files until the program exits. This means if you just reset UAE the data is not written to disk. I managed to force WHLoad to write by crashing Legend, then it goes back to Workbench with an error and the data is written. I later found you can quit back to WB by pressing Del.
