Intro ok
However, I cannot verify the outro. Could someone be able to make a trainer? |

That doesn't look great Aladin.
Can you not use the same font with shadow? If not I could manually do it in a graphics program... these are .IFF files hey? |

Yes I know, but I can't fit an image edited with drawing software into the amos pro object accessory. I'm forced to edit it with this amos module, and I can't even change the font size or change it.

Ok, will try to do it manually in a graphics program and then save as .IFFs... will probably take a few days though.
One problem though is that we don't have an "F"; so it would need to be created. Haven't checked for other missing letters as yet. Edit: also missing an "G", "W" and ","... Last edited by DamienD; 01 October 2020 at 18:26. |

If it helps, each intro and outro text image is an assembly of 3 image files
example the first image is made up of the files Sprite01.iff / Sprite02.iff / Sprite03.iff and all the files composing these intro texts are in the file "data_i_2" which is an AmIc Amos (Bank icon) |

Those original iff texts use shadow added with a post processing - if you look closely, shadow turn from left to right beneath letters, depending where on screen the letter is.

Anyway, I've cut out all letters... and also made "F", "G", "W" and ",". Here's how it looks: Not entirely happy with the "G" though, will need more work. |

Then I can give you modified Sprite01.iff / Sprite02.iff / Sprite03.iff to put back in. Anyway, another very quick mock-up: |

You can extract the sprite file with dopus4. But dopus4 cannot write to bank amos. And I am unable to import files into the amos pro object tool. I just managed to modify it with the basic drawing tools of this tool. Sorry I don't know Amos at all
The real solution that was explained to me would be: (but this is beyond me) "is to load your file in amos (load command), to load the image where there are the images (load iff) and then to recut the image with the index of the existing image (get bob i , x1, y1 to x2, y2 with i the index and x2 and y2 1 pixel more than the lower right corner of the image). I'm sure there are people on EAB that do though; and can let you know the process. Until then, there's no point in me continuing to create these manually. |

If the words are bobs in a spritebank file it is quite easy to replace old ones with the new ones. But positioning of the new ones will be quite tricky because of the dimensions difference.

It's slow tedious work but can be done. The text must fit within the bitmap size minus 12 pixels. For whatever reason the pictures overlap instead of join end to end. I used PPaint to save brushes in RAW format from DamienD picture. 112x57(2) 96x38(1). Same size as first three originals.
Try new data_i_2 to see the how it looks from game. File data_i_2 using HEX editor locate and replace object: Divide width by 16 112/16=7 Height is known 57 Planes = 5 Search 00 07 00 39 00 05 skip 4 bytes past the five and replace data with new brush. In this case 3990 (112x57x5)/8 bytes are replaced beginning at offset $10 Code:
00000000: 41 6D 49 63-00 15 00 07-00 39 00 05-00 00 00 00 AmIc § • 9 ? 00000010: 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00000020: 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00000030: 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00000040: 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00000050: 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00000060: 00 00 00 00-3E 38 1E 00-07 00 07 FE-0F 83 FE 7F >8? • •¦¤â¦¦ Last edited by clenched; 03 October 2020 at 21:36. |

2. dark is the future of Permonie, the land of mountain dwarfs Here "Permonie," line is already perfect Unfortunately "the land of mountain dwarfs" looks close to being too long. That would mean having to move Permonie, or maybe ditch "the". Background is white so the dark green pixels are easier to see. Of course the heights aren't uniform which only adds another straw to the tedium. EDIT: It may be easier this way. Put text anywhere in white area on 296wide. Then brushes can be cropped at 100&200 and the extra 12 pixels added back to their canvas size. Last edited by clenched; 03 October 2020 at 21:37. Reason: suggestion |

Ok, here is the above using your specifications:
The ones I'm worried about is these, not sure how they will fit, but as they are 5 lines then maybe: 3. King Permon XXVII. was removed forcibly from power and imprisoned. A despotism of traitors begun.I can always shrink the text before re-creating all. clenched; the height of your 3 line example above was 59 pixels. Can it be 60 pixels? This way the height of a 5 line one would be 100 pixels. Does this work? Last edited by DamienD; 03 October 2020 at 14:16. |
