The Matt Boomrang CD32 pad isn't good, bad joypad for your hands.

I don't have those joystick but I can suggest you to look for a Suzo arcade joystick, ZipStick, QuickJoy Superstar SV-131.

Basically I had to wait 6 months for a delivery from them. Communication with them is none existent when you try to chase things up.
To add to your post though. I recently bought a 3rd party CD32 controller off a Ebayer which is quite nice.

Don't know about the others but the Boomerang is the shittiest controller in the history of shitty controllers. I bought one for my CD32 and it is nigh on unusable., there's far too much travel in the buttons, they are not very responsive and when I cracked it open to see if it was possible to make it even marginally mroe rewsponsive I discovered the build quality is incredibly cheap. It doesn't even use proper PCBs, the circuit board looks like one of those cheap acid, etched copper boards.
The KTRL CD32 is a much, much better pad.

I don't know about "the shittiest" but it's certainly shitty, like most of the stuff from this manufacturer.

I think you'd be better off with one of these Sega knock off pads from ebay. I got one and it's not great, but actually works, and as a second-choice controller is surprisingly okay.

There are users in the community that make excellent CD32 replacrment pads. (KTRL CD32+)
As for joysticks, get an old WICO instead ;-)

I bought a mega drive clone controller for 7€ from they. It works. Is it good? Nope, it has sloppy buttons and dpad but for some casual play sessions, testing or as a secondary controller could be good given the ridiculous price.

The KTRL is sold out again, so not so easy to just order for the time being... ( https://www.daemonbite.com/product/ktrl-cd32-gamepad/ )

KTRL is a bit of a luxury item, being priced at 42E+VAT, which is probably ~60E. If I was in the market for something similar now I'd probably just buy a one of these safety adapters* for SEGA pads and try to source some original pad from ebay, and rewire it myself. Or stick with a joystick! (Arcaders/Monsters are quite affordable)

I also think that the TOM USB adapter I use for modern mouse also has joypad functionality, but I never got around to actually trying it yet.
