video capture card with winuae using OBS
It probably won't be very interesting but finally you can see how 4.1 actually works with winuae.
I bought a video capture card that I am using with OBS. For the economic truth too: https://www.amazon.it/PTN-Acquisizio.../dp/B08MJ9VDQP However a small video only with Odyssey does its job here finally without conflicting with audio and more: [ Show youtube player ] I hope it will be interesting for those who want to get closer to 4.1 :-) Also I wanted to ask if there is a way with OBS to capture the video using "full screen" and not the "full-window" with winuae. Thanks for any help |

ok found
just activate the video source as "game" and then once you launch winuae in fullscreen start video capture using the pre-selected button |

In the video you posted above, you're using the screen capture source which does not use your video capture card. The same goes for game capture, it also does not use any external hardware, they both just use the GPU.
"Video capture device" is the source that uses an external card. |

Thanks for the explanation and the first time I use this capture card currently the GPU I use is an RTX 2060 but why is the video fluid? if I don't use this capture card the videos are much slower. I guess the capture card acts as a bridge for example if I connect the ps5 I can capture the videos directly with OBS. now I must also try to do the same thing with Morphos. I probably don't quite understand the principles of this card. I would like a further explanation, to understand better. Thanks in advance. |

Does your monitor use gsync or freesync, and does it support higher than 60 Hz refresh rates? OBS can sometimes have issues when recording with gsync enabled and high refresh rates.
My guess is that when your video card is plugged into the capture device the video drivers detect it as a regular 60 Hz non-gsync "monitor" which makes OBS work correctly. |

The monitor is full-hd freesync at 60mhz to enable the "capture card" I had to install OBS it does not have a mechanical button to record. the card has been duly recognized by OBS initially asked me what I wanted to do streaming video capture etc. I chose "video capture" I don't know OBS as a program I have to get experience and then see other options eventually. At that point, once the recording has started, the videos are fluid and give no problem the codec I chose is NVIDIA NVENC H.264 i have seen some videos on youtube for using OBS and it seems to be right the way I use the card. Infact when I register for example winuae the audio and graphics no longer have "lag" problems and other similar problems. As for example happened with AFTERBURNER where the video slowed down for example for problems with the audio because it came into conflict with winuae. Is there any tests I can do to make sure everything is working correctly? Thank you. At the time when I bought the monitor I did not take this into account: gsync (nvidia) freesync (amd) Last edited by White; 20 June 2021 at 11:31. |

I did a series of tests with offline and online games including winuae and more. Everything seems to be working fine. freesync is compatible with no problems. Instead it is OBS to be configured better For example, selecting games with Ultra settings on the screen is all fluid. But then if I look at the recorded video it jerks. But selecting the right parameters in OBS everything works perfectly and the videos are perfect. I will have to get some experience with OBS and also with the card to capture videos. Of course any advice is greatly appreciated, I always like to learn. If you have any further advice, they are welcome. |

I have tried many times it seems the video capture buttons don't work with winuae
I always have to do it manually (by clicking with the mouse on video capture). Unlike all the games and other applications I use with windows 10. Do you have to enable or disable something in winuae to make the preset buttons for video capture work? in this case OBS for example AFTERBURNER works perfectly with the preset buttons Thank you. |

You may need to launch OBS as an administrator if you can't get the hotkeys to work.
