Smile Good ice hockey game for the Amiga

Hi !

Does anyone know any good ice hockey game for the Amiga?
Personally I don't know too many of them. There was Wayne Gretzky Hockey, to name one, but I don't think it's too good a game.. :-)

So, I remember years ago my friends playing good ice hockey game with Sega Megadrive, but don't remember the name of the game for sure. Was it International ice hockey or something...?!

Is there any ice hockey game nearly as good as that, what do you think?

I would enjoy a nice icehockey game myself. I remember spending ages with Powerplay Hockey on the Amiga... It was not a fantastic game but it had a very important component: FUN. It was terrific fun to play, specially when generating random fights n shit!

I would enjoy something like that on the Amiga.

I do remember Blades Of Steel, it surely was fun to play with a couple of friends.
However, I think it was quite ugly for graphics and not too complicated or appealing anyway.. ;-)

I haven't played Powerplay hockey, but I think I'd like to see an ice hockey game with a more 3d:ish look, something with more modern look than BladesOfSteel.
Something tat is more realistic and with better graphics and sound and more like a EA:s NHL series for the consoles and pc.
It's really a pity and quite a shame that the Amiga still hasn't seen a modern ice hockey game (..or football either??!!)

But when it comes to football games, even though there isn't very good "modern" footy games, there's Goal! and Sensi Soccer and total Football..
Goal! is one of the best sports games I have ever played

... matthias, that game looks ace! it "might" be the one I played as a kid :-D

- is it any good? ;-)

edit> IMO Sensible World of Soccer was infinitely superior to any kick off/ goal etc due to the managing side and actual progression through your career.. I know that player managers sposed to be cool, but.. er, SWOS is the one I got hooked to :-)

When I didn't have an Amiga but a rich friend had one, we always played competitions on 'Superstar Icehockey' It was a lot of fun, also because you always play the same player while the other players are computer-controlled. So it is a mix of a one-on-one and a team-against-team game.
Now it may look crappy because of bad grafix etc., but back in '88 or so it was a lot of fun

Yeah but the gameplay is not as good as the graphics (which isn't that good either).

It's a big shame Mutant League Hockey was canned. It was being developed for the Amiga, and if the port was good, it would be a great hockey game. Completely unrealistic, of course, but still great. The Mega-Drive version is very enjoyable.

Amiga is related hardwarewise to the Genesis. Play EA series of hockey games on the Genesis. Awesome.
