Does it crash as soon as you open the menu in game or just crashes at start up?

The screen freezes in the Menu "SELECT SKILL" after you choose the game mode and press enter.

If you exit the Menu with "QUIT" WinUAE crashes.


AmiDuke AGA works fine, yes sound, no Music

AmiDuke RTG yes Music, no sound

Okay thanks, I'll take a look and try and find out what I broke.

Update: I tried it on my WinUAE RTG setup using a Blizzard 1260 ROM and setup as a real 1260 (68060.library)...no problems for me?

I've uploaded it again to Aminet just in case it got corrupted somehow.

The new version posted on Aminet has a different size, the behavior is the same, tested on WinUAE and different OSes

- OS3.9 BB4 RTG -> AmiDukeRTG Just executed WinUAE crash

- OS3.9 BB4 AfA OS -> AmiDukeRTG Menu Error, Crash WinUAE when clicking on "QUIT"

- AmikitXE -> Distorted Music, Menu Error, Crash WinUAE when clicking "QUIT"

- OS 3.2.1 RTG -> AmiDukeRTG works fine, when you click on "QUIT" the system reboots "Guru"

Yesterday I tested it on my WinUAE configuration and it worked, but when I press ESC to quit the emulation has locked.

Solved, and sorry for the inconvenience, in the folder there were some files that probably conflicted the game, i recreated a new folder with only the necessary files and now works well Graphics, Music and Sounds.

In the folder I had PC files and other Engine, It's strange, though, that with the previous version of AmiDuke RTG everything worked fine.

The new AmiDuke RTG works perfectly also on AROS One 68k

In window mode the mouse from the workbench is disabled, is there a way to enable it, i ask this because I would like to center the game window.

Yes, go to the mouse options and change 'Taken' to 'Freed'

Hello. Unfortunately, my last, properly working version is 1.0.20. After selecting a location and difficulty level, the game freezes but I can still hear background music.I can only perform a keyboard reset Ctrl + A + A because nothing else works. I didn't change anything specific in the system that could affect the operation of the game.My computer is WinUAE 4.9.1 plus UAEGFX and AHI and the system is 3.9 and BB1 + 2 + 3 + 4. Patches include MCP, VisualPrefs, Birdie, new icon.library, TitleShadow, MagicMenu, SaferPatches, CopyMemAIO, NoMoreDiv0 and a few more. Other software and games are working fine, such as Quake 1 + 2, OpenDUNE, DOSBox.But in the last one the mouse doesn't work in windowed mode, I have to switch to full screen and back to window for it to work.

Have you tried version 1.0.28 from Aminet?

It is probably one of those patches you are using, I just stick with OS 3.9 and BB2 (the only official updates).

I've tried every version of yours newer than 1.0.20 and it's the same every time. Also, I think some patch could be the cause. When I have time, I'll have to check it out.

I disabled all patches in the startup-sequence, but that didn't help. SnoopDOS shows nothing specific. Only that it cannot find tiles.art and pallete.dat files. I will try to boot the system without a startup-sequence, load the Workbench and install the UAEGFX driver. I will also check if the AGA version will have the same problem for me.

I found the cause. When I deleted the DUKE.RTS file everything started working fine. Window mode and full screen work. After all, what is this RTS file for? Version 1.0.20 had no problem with it.

PS: Sorry because I was writing about an issue with the RTG version all the time. However, the whole topic probably concerns the AGA version, which I checked and it works fine for me.
