I wouldn't mind having both SMS and MD versions of Sonic on the Amiga... Now wouldn't that be something?

Are there any REU clones for the 64 seeing it absolutely needs it? I know I can run it in WinVICE but running it on real hardware would be nice as it can load the whole game into the REU!

Not sure, but I know that C64 MAXI comes with REU support (512KB, 2MB and 16MB).

For those using C64 maxi (or Mini), just change file name to say:

mydisk_R5.d64

R5 - 512KB
R2 - 2MB
RM - 16MB

There are actually two new versions in the making. An EasyFlash 3 cartridge with REU support called "Easyflash REULoaded", and a low-cost REU only clone.

Will take some time though before we can get our hands on it. On real hardware you can use the 1541 Ultimate/Ultimate 64 or Turbo Chameleon too.

I think someone over on Lemon64 is making an REU clone, but no timeline, just a pic of the PCB mask.

cant you also use the Chameleon64 FPGA? its not just standalone, it can plug into a c64 and i think it can double as an REU for the c64?
