if possible: which 8bits game would you ported to Amiga??
from Spectrum or C64, which game would be nice on Amiga??
I would liked to have Firefly with superb multidirectional scroll. Also Hysteria with those cool parallax scroll. I dont think Amiga would be able to manage a version of Deathchase simply too much And some of the games of Mask I specially likes the speccy version of first one, but also is cool the third part, VenomStrikesBack on C64 And of course Target:Renegade I would killed for a good amiga version. what more?? |

To name just a few games from the C64:
(1) Mega Apocalypse (Martech) - by Simon Nicol....great Mad Planets clone with funky Rob Hubbard music and speech! (2) Pastfinder (Activision) - a very much underrated shoot 'em up (3) Last Ninja Remix (System 3) - based on Last Ninja 2 as released for C64 (Amiga LN2 was poor and could have done with an enhanced version!!!) (4) H.E.R.O. (Activision) (5) Hypersports (Ocean) - a Hyper Olympics/Track & Field clone. Last edited by DrBong; 28 September 2004 at 09:33. |

Another interesting thread...
Talking about 8-bit only games and not arcade conversions... Karateka, Kung Fu Master, Way of Exploding Fist 2, Usagi Yojimbo (a bit on the martial arts side, uh?) Also, Park Patrol, Star Paws, Zamzara, Vendetta (this is an aGTW!) @ Dr.Bong: well, Last Ninja for Amiga actually exists: is Last Ninja Remix, they have changed the title, but the screen and the music are taken straight off the Last Ninja 1! |

The C64 version of Venom Strikes Back it's great indeed. Lots better than the Speccy one.
My votes would go for: The Castle/Castle Excellent. I really would like to see those 2 game running smoother with better graphics. They are IMO the finest hour of 8 bit gaming, and a moment that we probably will never see again. It's a big shame this game is widely unknown by non-MSX gamers. Pay-load - Another MSX exclusive. This one CRIES for a remake in a better system, it's one of the finest concepts ever. You run a truck in the streets of Japan making deliveries in different towns, and you have to deal with the police, breakouts of your truck, fatigue, and many other stuff. And I also would love to see what Compile could do with an Aleste game on an Amiga system... |

I may be wrong but Last Ninja Remix I'm sure is based on Last Ninja 2. I don't think Last Ninja 1 does exist for the Amiga.
Some classic games being mentioned already - I enjoyed the following: Colony - mentioned in another thread - weird resource management game Feud (MSX) - there is a version for the Amiga but it's crap in comparisson to this - the music and grapchics are so much better on the MSX and it's also faster Green Beret - can't remember this ever on the Amiga - could be wrong but it's a classic platformer Creatures - the Amiga version shows what a horrible conversion it is I'm sure there are lots of others as well! Have you ever played to LNR on Amiga? If yes, have you seen LN1 and LNR on the 8-bit machines? |

Last Ninja Remix on the Amiga is based on the Last Ninja 1 ...
Last Ninja Remix on the C64 is basically the same game as Last Ninja 2 on the C64 (with different musics - thats why "remix" and a bit redesigned status screen - the game is the same otherwise). So if you bought LNR on the C64 you were ripped off (unless you really wanted the new tunes) but on the Amiga you got the best LN game for the platform! |

Damn, of course, Metal Gear !
IT seems like Metal Gear was indeed PLANNED for Amiga, but it got cancelled together with lots of other Konami games for the miggy. I may be wrong, but I believe the MSX version of Feud is actually a direct port from the Spectrum game. I didn't know an Amiga version existed, but I have seen a PC version. When I was a kid, this game really scared the hell out of me, dunno why . Edit: Oh man, come on! I've just seen the Feud entry on Hol, the Amiga version has some LOVELY graphics. What's so wrong with it? Aahh.. seeing those screenshots brought back some memories.. did anyone ever managed to beat the wizard in that game? I never did it. Ditto the vote on properly done conversion of Creatures, & add Creatures 2, & Mayhem in Monsterland would've been interesting too.
Ditto Vendetta & Turbocharge, though all the above were great reasons for owning the C64 in the first place. Also would've liked to have seen International Karate,(preffered it over IK+'s single backdrop, & only 2 players rather than the sequel's 3). |

Wonderboy III the dragons trap..
Such a great game should have been ported to all platforms and not just fade away with the master system. |

Also I would like a better version of Wizball.
How would you make it?? -full screen with 32 or 64 colours, one scroll. or -not full screen but with parallax scrolls. for sure it would had to have cool coppers-skys effects ala Fire&Ice and minimalist design for the panel of weapons, these made with hardware sprites. |
