Out of nowhere, my A1000 stopped to power the external floppy drive. I have tested with two different (1010 and SupraDrive) and for both I can hear only one click after I turn on power.
Which pin should I test for the voltage or what else can be wrong? Capacitors in PSU? Thanks |

Check pins 23 (12V) and 12 (5V) of the floppy port, Pins 3-7 are ground..
If there's no voltage there you can go back to check FB39/FB28 (there's 11 ferrites in a line right behind J7/RN5, the two closest to the connector are the 5V&12V..) Other than that is swap the CIA's and see if it has any effect.. then there's a few TTL that might cause a problem.. Grab the A1000 schematics / layout from here to get a better idea of the circuit.. https://www.retro-commodore.eu/amiga-tech/ |

I have checked pin #23 and there is 11.97V and on pin #12 there is 5.15V
Should I run Amiga Test Kit or DiagROM on that A1000 or just swap CIA's chips on slots? Side note - I have installed that new version of ReJuvenator for more than a year and all was fine till that shit happens. |
