Yeah, there is no way to save a database it seems, at least I didn't find any. Maybe someone has the manual and can shed some light? |

Just tested ManU PLC and all is perfect , saves , quitkey....as Gordon said you're a legend !!
Thanks ps: Goal will make you be THE LEGEND... edit : here some instructions for MU PLC from Lemon Amiga and working too with MU The Double : Control Keys ------------ During play, pressing certain keys on the keyboard will have the following effects:- F1- Access Tacti-Grid for the home team ie. the team printed on the left of the score panel. This allows mid-match tactical changes of substitutions to be made. Only works while the ball is out of play. F6- Access Tacti-Grid for the away team. Only works when the ball is out of play. P- Pauses the game. Press again to resume play. S- Displays the score. Any figures in brackets represent the first leg score, should the match be the second leg of a cup round. A more detailed version of the score panel, showing scorers and times is automatically displayed whilst the ball is out of play. Q- Aborts the match, and returns to the Management Section. R- Action replay. Press again to resume play. Action replays during the season are only available on machines with more than 1 Mb memory, but are always available during Single Match, Custom League and Custom Cup. During Action Replay mode, a further set of keys may be pressed for the following effects:- S- Toggles speed of replay between slow motion or normal speed. V- Toggles viewpoint of replay, front or back. B- Holding down this key winds back the replay sequence. F- Similarly, this key winds forward the replay sequence. T- Toggles time clock on and off. SPACE - Cycles view of replay to centre on each player in turn, instead of the ball. Last edited by lolafg; 19 January 2010 at 21:09. |

@Sting ,
I think you should remove the french option in "The Double" as translation isn't really great , seems not finished . Thanks again and Good night |

Sigh... All files required to play the game are there! If you create an icon for me I will happily supply an icon you can use... And since so far I have only seen you in "demanding mode" I'm not gonna create any preinstalled version. You want to play the game? You can do that already with a BIT of effort on your side.

Its not hard. Just put Disk.1 Disk.2 Manu_thedouble Slave in one folder. then go to another WHDload game and copy the icon in that folder, for example cannon fodder. Edit the cannonfodder icon and change it from cannonfodder.slave to man_utd double.salve pr whatever its called.
Stingray, i found the manual heres what it says To access the database you must reset the game and boot fro data disk then follow on screen prompts. once loaded you will be presented wiith 3 options. WARNING you must save all database changes to a spare floppy disk. On no account must you save edited date on the existing DATA disk supplied with the game |

Just tested it and indeed, disk 2 is bootable. That means more work for me as I will have to patch that too. =) Expect a new beta tomorrow (where you can boot from the data disk with "CUSTOM2=1" tooltype).
Thanks for the info Gordon! |

Check The Zone! for an unoffical Street Rod 1 patch (not done by me). (There is no official patch yet because the original is very rare.) |

OK, as promised here's the new version of the ManU-The Double slave. You can now boot from the data disk to edit the database with "CUSTOM2=1". The slave will now create a disk.4 file (database disk) and you also have to use the "Format disk" option before you want to save a database for the first time. If there are no problems with this version it'll be the final one. =)
