one handed typing tutor

Hi.

Is there such a programme. ?!?! I want to push my geek skills to the next level because now everyone can touch type with two hands, but very few people can do it with one hand. I havn't seen any one do it in real life.

Hmmmm.....strange request (for Amiga or otherwise).

Right I am now typing with 1 hand - it's impossible to touch-type with 1 hand as the definition of touch typing if I am correct is to keep you fingers above the ASDF, JKL; keys and your typing is done by touch as you look at the screen - which you cannot do very easy if you need to do a right bracket ")" for instance. You need big hands to do that shift-0 keypress !

I won't ask why you want to type quickly one-handed ( ) but it can be done - but i think the only way you will have of learning is to practice either real-life typing or with the games in a touch-typing program like Mavis Beacon.

And before anyone gets "funny" about my 1 hand typing skills I would like to state that I learned after f**king my arm up (I got a great big scar to prove it) and not really being able to use it for 2 months whilst my nerves where starting to stitch back together.

while Redblades question may seem strange, as a retired orthotics/ prothetics tech I can assure you I have seen people manage with a lot less, right down to the single/double breath presure switch, it is more a question of how driven you are to continue normal activities after an accident or disablement that defines to what length's you are prepared to go to overcome obstacles.
Achievement of eventual goal rather than pure speed & efficiency are what make individual tailored solutions, perhaps I could sugest without intended insult to Redblade, that he check out the on line availability of disablity software packages as up to my retirement, all medical univercity departments world wide stored & linked these to increase client choice.
Many were written as I recall that will fulfill Redblades request, but since I am out of it now, I could not recommend anything suitable beyond old Win95 or out of date Mac progs.
