1084D monitor repair

Monitor displays no problem but the power button won't stay on apparently a common problem . Does anyone know who could repair this for me !!! I live midlands area

It's not going to be easy to find a suitable switch. I'd short the switch out and turn the monitor off & on with the switch on the wall/powerboard.

My old 1084D-1 had the same problem - I fixed it by introducing some slim cardboard in the sides of the button (making it stuck on the on position) and then fixing the overall result with a bit of tape. I could then turn it on/off using the switch on the power socket.

Seemed to be working really well! (Akira should be able to update me on how it's faring - he's got that monitor now )
