I am already looking forward for WHDLoad for this game as I am unhappy with HD install possibilities. It is hardcoded to few paths (DH0:Wiz, DH0:Games/Wiz, DH1:Wiz, DH1:Games/Wiz...) and it doesn't accept assign if it is located anywhere else. My HDD structure is different because of the language.

I think it's pretty certain whatever I did or didn't do, it'll be added to WHDLoad anyway fairly soon after release.

There maybe with a bit of luck, further news of a CD32 only version release of Wiz with extra jump button support soon. Not fully set in stone yet but highly likely.

Why don't You add 2nd button to jump feature to floppy version, some people (including me) have joys with two or more buttons, so adding option makes sense.

Knowing JOTD, one of first features of WHDLoad version will be 2nd button to jump remap, so why bothering him?

Edit: There are even some floppy games which have CD32 joypad support, so maybe think about this option (selecting and using spells, i guess).

Because the game is already finished and written to floppies? I can imagine to add this feature for download version, though (or the main executable patch later). But I agree - support for multiple buttons is always welcome, in any game.

Hi there, as I think I said earlier up this thread, it's far too late now to add further public feature requests ...the entire run for Wiz is now duplicated and ready for shipping.

If we do end up doing the CD32 only version it will support the extra button for jump on the CD32 controller.

Maybe if we ever get to work on another Amiga title it will be a consideration up front in future.

We hope that this oversight will not spoil your enjoyment of the game too much.

P.S Maybe we could introduce a patch after it's released tho I fear we'll be beaten to it now LOL

Sorry to further disappoint tho OK but there are real limits to what we can do for everyone currently.

Not disappointment at all, and I missed that game is already in copy and packing stage.
Oh well... I can always sent WHDLoad feature request

But patch would be also nice.

[Update:]

I have since updated the project source so that using a CD32 joypad at least and to function in tandem with regular kempston joystick, the blue button is also jump and red button is fire now.

I may assign either the green or yellow button to mirror the down for spell select soon too.

I will hopefully make the patched Wiz Amiga .exe file available for download shortly after the game is released so you can choose to use that instead if you wish.

Although I have no problem with jumping via up stick, your flexibility is much appreciated Adrian.

OK then, it's all done now and also fixed the music bug mentioned somewhere up above regards the music restarting after the freeze spell finishes when the player want the music always off.

Now after a chat with my wife here, we have decided that as only a few promo and review physical copies have been sent out for Wiz, there is still time to reduplicate the entire batch of Physical Disk-1's all the USB Sticks + Digital downloads etc. So we will restart task that very soon.

I hope that will keep everybody happy but we can't take any more feature requests from this point onwards you understand OK.

We still also hope that the standalone CD32 version [Edit: now cancelled as of 06/11/2020] on CD will ship with all these changes too but that is another story I can't talk about here just yet.

Gotta go, much to do!

Thanks again,

Adrian

Wow, what a fast response! Thank You very much, my joypad would be full of joy!

So, first batch is for one button joystick users?

Just one thing:
The walking animation seems to have a wrong frame in it:

The hand is in the middle and if the character moves it looks like flickering.

It's not, but the hand doesn't need to be there?!
