I'm pretty sure it was NORTH & SOUTH at the age of 9...
Coming from the Schneider/Amstrad CPC 464, including a green monitor only, and being a die-hard-fan Lucky Luke fan, graphics, gameplay and sound effects (cavalry attacking, soldiers marching into the river) totally blew me away back then. |

It was, and Blood Money indeed was (is) fantastic. Many reviewers gave it low ratings ("slow shoot-em-up?") but that was, well... wrong.

Hi guys, I'm new here and basking in the warm glow of all the Amiga nostalgia. The first game I ever witnessed was over my big brother's shoulder when I was 15 as he blasted off from the carrier in Interceptor.. man, that was a great game! I'll never forget the various cool sound effects.
I saw some talk on the first page of this thread about how crap Turbo and Technocop were.. but I loved both those games! Both had pretty dodgy graphics but Turbo was awesome fun in split screen mode with my brother and in Technocop I liked how you had to hunt down a different distinctive head criminal each stage. I was always trying to get to the next stage to see who the next head criminal was going to be and what he would look like.. and catching them in the net was fun. |

The first amiga game I witnessed was Speedball at a school friends house. I had a c64 at the time and was blown away by the graphics and DW music.
Inevitably and much nagging at my parents I received an Amiga Batman Pack for xmas 2 months later |

The First Amiga/Game I ever saw was Shadow of the Beast 2 on my uncles A500 back in 1991 I think.
We were all gobsmacked at the intro with the old house, because there was nothing around that could do stuff like that.. The sound/visuals were amazing That christmas I received my A600 also after loads of nagging |

Very tough question but I Know that I wanted an Amiga after seeing in a french magazine a picture of Marble Madness which looked like the Arcade...
Being a huge C64 addict buying an ST wasn't an Option (poor sound no hw scroll etc) so the first one I think was Defender of the Crown and I was blown away kml |

Well, how could i forget such a premiere :
My first game, which was my first disk inserted in my A500, was Battle Squadron ! It came after some months spent on Atari ST, so it was incredible : Sound was maybe the most impressive thing in this game. I think i had listened to it for hours !! Gfx were great too, very funny to play... A perfect game, even today ! Yeah !!! |

Defender of the Crown on a Amiga 500 in early 1988. I remember it very well, because a frend of mine had bought a Amiga 500 and he told me it had superb graphics and sound. I have played Defender of the Crown on my C64 and I thought the graphics and
the sound could not me so much better, but that was a big mistake for me. When I came to him and the started up his Amiga and loaded Defender of the Crown I can still remember the feeling and impression of the graphics and the sound. After that I wanted to have an Amiga myself and about 6 months later I bought my own. |

Defender of the Crown was one of the first games I played too. Totally gorgeous graphics and excellent music for it's time.

First Amiga game i ever saw running was Shadow Of The Beast in Dixons in 1989, totally blew me away when i was 12, sadly my dad saw the price and we walked out with a ZX Spectrum +2 he even managed to get some free software chucked in for free the cheapskate!
I did finally get myself an Amiga 500 in 1992 when i swapped my MD and Sonic for my mates A500 and dodgy modulator with countless bootlegs and disks ...bargain! |
