I think even on Ebay £200 is stretching it a little

There is one with a buy it now for £150 but I still think that is too much... look at the number of overpriced unsold 1240's on eBay history and all becomes clear.

bought mine 1240/25 for around 100 quids, but battery was leaked badly and some clever guy make some new holes (lucky not shorting or cutting anything)
and yes it was with mach131, now running 60@80

Don't think so - you can't even get a 030 for that!

Anyway, I'll consider a serious offer....what do you guys think it's worth - I don't really know - I was goin off ebay prices????

Mine has the mach 131 chip ready for upgrade also....I might just upgrade one and sell as 1260......anyone interested in that? I've got 3 of these puppies!!

Very top eBay prices and you didn't check how many didn't sell. Admittedly my offer was low but sometimes you get lucky

You'll have to pay for the socket, crystal oscillator, MC68060RC50 chip, Apollo voltage regulator PCB, 1260 EPROM and get someone to solder it. You probably wouldn't have much change from £100 and you have the risk the board may get broken. Not really viable just to make a profit.

Might be worth it......there probably in more demand than the 1240's.....someone will buy it I think, especially in a couple years. Anyway I have 3 cards so might just upgrade one for myself.

In a couple of years every former Amiga user will be at the age where they have either : a wife and kids, a mistresses AND a wife and kids or are still single but spend all their money on online dating and minoxidil and so in all 3 cases they will no longer have money to spend on Amiga's

Now is the sweet spot, or you may have to wait 18 years

Looking at current prices is useless, especially on "buy it now" items and those with no bids. Looking at completed items is the only way to get a feel for prices, and over a medium time period.

Yes.

Yes.
He has spoken .....LOL

Well I'll look at everything thanks: current prices, Buy It Now, past completed sales - all together. Anyway, This figure of £130 seems way more realistic than £80.....
