Gloom 3 ''Ultimate Gloom'' Zombie Edition (CD32)
Anyone could confirm that this title works on real CD32 or with WinUAE? I have this game (Ultimate Gloom (1997)(Guildhall Leisure Services)[!][Amiga-CD32] version) and I can't boot it.

it's some time gone since i had it running, and can't remember the exactly settings...
i had a lot of trouble with that one. be it that it's not starting or it's running with corrupted gfx. there were no luck on setup's like amikit/classicWB etc, try a new and clean wb install without extra stuff. i will try myself and report tomorrow... |

At least "Ultimate Gloom (1997)(Guildhall Leisure)[!][Amiga-CD32]" in Tosec is not CD32 bootable. (no trademark file). Neither is "Ultimate Gloom - Zombie Edition (1997)(Guildhall Leisure)[!]"

I think the only one worth playing is Gloom Deluxe - when buying Gloom 3 it was the worst buy in my gaming history - perhaps besides Touring Car Championship... And Gloom DL works OK in WinUAE.

Box front says 'Amiga CD' (four times btw). Back quotes a CD32 Gamer review, but I guess they were desperate enough to test anything that came out on CD for the Miggy at that time There's no mention of CD32 anywhere (but we don't have the manual... yet). Do you own the manual zipper and could read up if there's a mention of CD32 somewhere (and while you're at it, just scan it for HOL ) ?

There's no manual, just installing instructions inside the box leaflet. There's a guide on the CD, in Gloom_3. Nothing about CD32 except that review mention.

XGloom looks awesome.
I'd forgotten how much I'd enjoyed Gloom at the time until I saw that video, it all came flooding back, recognised almost all those locations! And that music... superb. |
