Disable A1200 expansion port via software

Is it possible to disable the expansion port of the Amiga 1200 via software?

Do you mean like turning off the Blizzard accelerator cards by pressing "2" at boot?

No, with a program.
Something that can be started from Workbench.

I came up with the idea because of some V1200 comp. problems.

Did you try CPU command with the proper arguments but that does not solve them?

Tried several degrader tools, the native boot menu options, WHDload settings...
Bad luck.

You know, I had problems with jerky scrolling on Wiz and Tin Toy with core 2.15 upwards.

Switched back to 2.12 or 2.13 and the games work fine.

But now Virtual Karting 1 & 2 don´t work anymore and e.g. "Ninja Warriors" still suffers from the jerky scrolling problem.

Other games like "Maupiti Island" have garbled gfx.

Jurrassic Park AGA still doesn´t work on all cores with CACHE on.
The 3D levels aren´t playable...too bad.
I really hope the WHDload version will be fixed soon...

Anyway, so why not simply turn of the card in the first place for those problematic games?

I don´t understand why the Apollo team didn´t implement this feature like Phase 5 did.

There's no way to disable the port in software - any disable feature needs to be part of the accelerator itself. It would make even more sense to include a feature like that on boards with complex functions like the Vampire, but they're the only ones who can answer why...

You'd have to ask the Vampire users. Don't they have some "Configware" that runs prior to AmigaOS? Maybe that is v4 only.

Thanks for your info, guys.

Started this topic on their Discord.
Pretty sure they won't implement this.

Ah yes, also tried their config tool (Turtle Mode...)
No diffference.
