WinUAE 4.9.2+ beta series

NetSurf doesn't work in 4.10 version, both 32 and 64bit.

Strange, I tested on AmiKit and Coffin r61 and on both NS didn't run on new winuae but worked on previous.

When installed the new winuae version my config crashed. Winuae changed the rom3.2 and put other. I have rescaned rom dir and put the correct rom and voilá, that worked ok again.

Just updated to the new Winuae and all my browsers work with it !

Which version of Amikit did you use ?

I have tested these versions:
- Amikit 8 - Netsurf Works Fine
- Amikit X - It was not working (a library AmiSSL was missing, fixed)
- Amikit XE - Netsurf Works Fine

- Coffin (I don't use it too many mixes)

It doesn't work also in first beta of 4.9.2.

What Picasso96 version are you using? I use free one from aminet.

I use the free version of Picasso96-2_1.e, it works well both graphics card UAE-GFX and with Picasso IV, also works well with Picasso96 v2.0 available on Aminet.

With snoopdos what error do you receive ?
If you need I can test your system and look for any problems !

On my systems no problem NetSuf works fine ! even with WinUAE 4.10.0

I don't get any error. SnoopDos stops at cybergraphics.library and then system get a huge slowdown before bsdsocket.library is shown.

arti la your config doesn't work, I don't know why you use a Generic ChipSet ?

I created a config where NetSurf works fine I attach config file.

The config has these settings A4000/060, as a first test don't change anything with the 040 it may not work NetSurF (AmiSSL not work).

I could not test 040 because on my systems I have all libraries and system files 060

NetSurf _IS_ compiled for 040. This config works fine on 4.9.1.

I'm glad it's working now, did not explain myself well, I was not referring to NetSurf, but to the 060 libraries installed on my systems.

nothing can be done, with NetSurf for 68k is make it compatible with "Browservice"
currently the only compatible version written in 68k with "Browservice" and OWB 68k
All other 68k Browsers including IBrowse don't work.

I haven't recompiled it yet for personal use,
because it is not possible to publish it for the patents of h.264 ect.
but it can be recompiled.
So it comes for standard "codec".
But for personal use it is possible to do it.
This includes all sorts of things like watching news - streaming on various platforms etc.

And honestly, using a dedicated "linux" machine doesn't go to me to consume electricity given the period.

I'm at home like in the movie "Donnie Darko" with the sweatshirt and hood
I am certainly much luckier than many other people of course.

WinUAE 4.9.2 had some problems, even AROS 68k did not work anymore.

It's curious, this only happens with IPF if a hard disk is present ( Hdf, directory or directly on the IDE and real CF ). Without harddrive, all is ok.

Does someone want to explain what is going on or do I close this thread (official is already out, only beta related posts here) because last 12 or so posts are totally useless.

Repeating: "It does not work" is not a bug report. It is totally useless information.

What I only know so far is that is works on 060 CPU for AmigaSystem guy.
Tried various configs with no luck.
