@Crashdisk
I think, that this game: Sharks! v1.01 (1999)(Steiner, Christian)(SW) -should be labeled as (AGA), because it is AGA By the way... Sharks! v1.4 (1999)(Steiner, Christian)(SW) -this is OCS version Sharks! v1.5 (1999)(Steiner, Christian)(SW)[HD] -this is multi version OCS/AGA, and combines both versions. @Crashdisk
Denver presente - Je Decouvre les Formes (1990)(Loriciel)(FR)[2803] -wrong name totally. This is a name of other game. The name should be changed to Denver presente - Je Decouvre les Couleurs. Ipf file name is OK. World of Magic, The (1997) & World of Magic II, The - Ghelae and the Death-Sword (1999) -There could be added new versions of these games to "Public Domain - [ADF]", and signed as [2005 edition]. These new versions are available on Aminet here:http://aminet.net/search?query=The+World+of+Magic Look also at "ReadMe". |

i'm testing the Virocop OCS cracks atm
two group of disks on Tosec, [cr HLM] and [cr TRSI] now, the HLM crack use the v1.0 of the game, when the TRSI use the 1.01 (like the ipf) you can see the version pressing ie F5 on main menu maybe this info can be added to the Tosec diskname? |

Evening Crashdisk, a french member called Bird/Syntex has sent me the ADF of the french version of Murder cracked by the group "Conan". It's in the zone for inclusion in the TOSEC.

Just tried Regent 2.0 and the last three disks should get the internal number like the first disk. If the game asks for 'disk 2' it means 'Regent v2.00 (1992-08-02)(Linel)(DE)(Disk 3 of 4)'. So the name should be 'Regent v2.00 (1992-08-02)(Linel)(DE)(Disk 3 of 4)(2)' if I understand the logic correctly

Would it be okay to generate dats from my staging directories for anything missing from TOSEC or where I have alternates, and provide those for corrections? I have quite a number of files that should be in TOSEC (and -ISO and -PIX) that aren't, as well as various ADFs acquired directly from their appropriate sources (i.e. digital purchases) which don't match the hashes already in TOSEC.
That being said, I can't upload most of it to FTP due to a mix of the rules (a decent number of products are still being sold, so won't) and poor upload speeds where I am (so for bigger files, can't). I'd like to work around this by generating my own dats for each particular dat/directory that could be reviewed and possibly merged into the database. Would that work for correcting as well as it would work for me? |

I thank you for your proposal, but there are some things to consider:
I only add in TOSEC elements that I have checked myself. I don't add elements that are in the process of being commercialized, and even more so if they are the result of a digital purchase. I have some commercial titles, they are ready to be integrated but it will be necessary to wait for them to be officially in TOSEC. |

"Purchases" may have been too strong a word; some (but far from all) of them actually fall under "PD". Using "e.g." instead of "i.e." would have been the correct thing for me to do.
I guess I'll have to wait until I have better upstream speeds, but even then there'd be issues around getting to you stuff that fall afoul of FTP and Zone rules that are already in or should be in TOSEC dats. |

Maybe this spring, when some new copper gets laid down between my house and my ISP... UPDATE: the Bell guy did a temporary wire fix for me which will hopefully last until the weather's good enough for a permanent fix. I'm pushing a bunch of stuff to my FTP upload dir for TOSEC, -ISO, and -PIX that aren't in any of them (some new stuff, some alternates ripped from my physical CDs). I've also uploaded dats for my non-TOSEC stuff that I've been able to sort out and name manually, since some things I am not uploading in order to avoid breaking the rules, in order to see if anyone else has the same stuff. Still super slow, though, at about 60-65kbps. When dats/v2023-02-26 has 31 files in it, then everything should be uploaded. UPDATE 2: Upload complete. "Commodore Amiga - CD - Compilations - [ISO]", "Commodore Amiga - CD - Coverdiscs - [ISO]", and "Commodore Amiga - CD - Multimedia - [ISO]" are all from personal physical media that I ripped myself; the rest are finds or direct downloads from the creators (the latter especially for games-PD).
