Anyone played Cougar Force on the A500?! I pity you!!!
Another Amiga overpriced gem has hit the "Shit Game Time" section, this week I've been requested to tackle the game called "Cougar Force".
I never heard of this game until now and It's one of the most boring pointless games I've ever played on our beloved Amiga, just boggles the mind that not only games like this was even conceived but the cheek of a £25.99" asking price for it Cougar Force SGT Review: [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by ZEUSDAZ; 24 March 2024 at 03:33. |

This game is abominable, as is its engine.

I have identified a new thing I severely dislike.
The character not standing still when you're standing still. It's like the dude has to go to the bathroom real bad. Also the character teleports when you trigger animations of different dimensions or you turn around. This is truly horrible. There is just nothing that can be done with this to make it better, it's a total loss. Purgatory: the game. Loop through the same three screens over and over until you've paid for your sins. |

Cougar Force? Sounds like some aggressive middle aged man-eater fem fatale squad, lol.
Do you have the stamina?! |

I suffer from the same symptoms. It's really irritating. I suspect the "got-to-get-to-toilet-dance" has been around since the NES and nowadays the characters in so many indie platformers etc. do the same because it's "cool" and "retro". |

It's like some kind of 80s action movie themed "Thick as mince of Persia"

There was an unreleased, but finished, Atari STFM game that was better than this in every way to be fair. I think it was Dinamic who did the game, sort of like Navy Moves/Navy Seals in Siberia platform run n gun type game. It did get released on Amiga too.
Thing is there were loads of games like this back then, it's not far off the norm IMO. |

Until I checked the release year .. 1991 For such a late release it really is abysmal (although not even among the worst of 1991). |
