so you get all this work for free and all you say is that you hate it/complain?

bunch of smart folks that you are, then why don't you make a database and website that works on the old machines you so stubbornly continue to use as a web browser? like what is even the point of being able to use HOL on an Amiga with a jurassic browser, have you no other computer phone or whatever do you really live like a caveman

@Bren McGuire: Yes there are people like me that use the website on classic systems or smartphones to visualize the content they have contributed. The new version has more disadvantages on such devices and that’s the reason why we asked to get the old version back.
Of course we would like to use HOL in future, but if there is no more actual content available it makes no sense to contribute further and look for alternatives instead. I don‘t understand why it was changed if there was no technical reason. For me the old version was perfect and easy to handle. That’s really sad …

I wonder could it be possible to update old Hol from time to time? For example once a year with basic informations like new games entries, screen shots, authors credits.
What would be perfect for me is old layout and look, but with new engine under skin.
I understood that old database was a mess hard to manage.
I do not know maybe there could be some kind of alternative skin that looks like a old HOL for new database?

I understand that the old engine was hard to maintain, but was it really necessary to construct the new one with the usual web2 JS mountains?

The Sports genre was moved into the Theme field some years ago (along with Educational). Lots of sports in it though!
