the reincarnation of sgt pepper/the fab four
I read about this demo in the swedish computer magazine datormagazin in 1991, the article seems to be copied from cu amiga, where the demo apparently was demo of the month. Has anyone seen it, or better yet, know where to find it on the net?
I have scanned a piece of the article http://hem.passagen.se/hollowdrutt/sgtpepper.jpg (copy and paste link, if it doesnt work) |

The Fab Four has not much content anywhere:
https://demozoo.org/groups/66680/ This page: https://archive.org/stream/cuamiga-m..._1997_djvu.txt mentions "the marvellous Reincarnation Of Sgt. Pepper" it also mentions "Brazzle Atkins Collection" as follows: Brazzle Atkins Collection Old Demo Selection Available from: See below This set of revamped A500 demos mark the resurrection of the legendary Brazzle Atkins, a man with a penchant for all things of a psy- chedelic nature- Mr Atkins has gone to a certain amount of trouble hacking and fixing these demos so they run on your AT 200, utilising its improved graphics capability. Furthermore, by allowing them to be dumped straight into RAM, you are now able to view them smoothly and without loading delays. As befits these masterpieces, they are available] in limited quantities only, in a glorious signed] and numbered boxed set. The box contains four digi-movies (Laurel 6 Hardy. Horror Show. Monty Python and Clockwork Orange), which require 2Mb of Fast RAM to run. Chaos Rock and Erpland, and the marvellous Reincarnation Of Sgt. Pepper. Thi^ trippy demo plays Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds over related pictures, an mated by the constant colour scrolling. The movies are worth a look, but come with an advisory notice, particularly the one entitled Horror Show (Directors Cut). Computer images of Heads exploding can cause offence, even in artistic shades of grey. We were sent the set in a lovely video case collection box which added a nice pro- fessional touch. These demos can be Obtained either individually Or in the video box (if there are any left), try Classic Amiga PD, Saddletramps, or your usual library, Well worth a look, particularly if you are of a psy- chedelic disposition So instead of searching "Reincarnation Of Sgt. Pepper" in vain, one should search "Brazzle Atkins Collection" PD disk (or CD) mentioned at: http://www.youngmonkey.ca/nose/magazines/CUAmiga-r.html with mention it on page 64. The information is on "CU AMIGA MAGAZINE issue November 1997 page 64 which for some (copyright?) reason is missing in https://amr.abime.net/issue_657_pages Yumpu features readable version of "CU AMIGA MAGAZINE issue November 1997: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/re...ore-is-awesome Brazzle Atkins search is another dead end: http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/author.php?id=67980 If "the demo apparently was demo of the month", it looks like it was in another CU AMIGA MAGAZINE" issue and finding that issue or Datormagazin issue about it will not help finding "Reincarnation Of Sgt. Pepper" or "Brazzle Atkins Collection" containing also "Reincarnation Of Sgt. Pepper". If someone ever finds this demo, I'm intrested to see what is so 'marvellous' about it as CU Amiga reviewer wrote. Last edited by Hanzu; 02 August 2023 at 19:33. |
