Music from The Lost Vikings
Man, this music is so good!
I found the modules, but they are in a pretty weird format... P4X? The first four bytes in the start of the files are "P41A".... I guess they are crunched too. http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/The_Lost_Vikings Any help on converting them to .MOD? EDIT: Oh.. It's The Player 4.1A! I'll fire up m Amiga and try to convert them with The Player 6.1... EDIT2: Bah! I need The Player 4.1A specifically... EDIT3: http://16-bits.org/The_Lost_Vikings_mods.zip There seems to be a lot of errors though, I used ProWizard to convert them (I know where your mailbox lives, Asle ). Even DeliPlayers play them wrong... Just listen to P4x.ingame5 EDIT4: Aha! It's the rip from exotica that is broken. Would someone take the time to rip the P41A (The Player 4.1A) modules from The Lost Vikings? I would be very thankful! Last edited by 8bitbubsy; 24 June 2010 at 15:22. |

hum ... everything looks fine in Kyzer's rip (the one on Exotica), save for p4x.ingame2. Seems some sample data are missing in this one. p5x.ingame5 is fine, even if it's playing fast. It's not a format matter, but an F04 being here. Never played the game so I can't say what it should sound like .
I'll try to find this ingame2 zik. Sylvain PS: Which prowizard are you refering to ? |

The musics from this game are available in the SOAMC database. Well, these were, at least, but recently due to some technical issues, no music can be downloaded. If I remember well these have been in protracker mod format.

I've patched the ingame zik 2.
The 7th sample isn't used and not saved. I've set said size to 0 in the P41A file. Sylvain |

Oh.. No offense, but I found out that it's just the Amiga version having shitty versions of the music...
Just listen to the SNES or PC DOS versions, the music is superior. |

I highly doubt that, IIRC the DOS version is Adlib shit. The SNES music may well be better though.
Regarding the music, rip it yourself you lazy bastard! I suggest trying ExoticRipper firstly. |

You're right... the PC DOS version is shit, I tested it some days ago on my 486. Eeew!
But the SNES version sounds awesome! I'm so in love with the music. |
