Blizzard 1230iv FPU problem
Plase help!
I've had a (beee-autiful) 1230 mkiv blizzard board in my miggy (a1200) for a month or so now, and I love it to bits. I bought a 68882pga FPU @50MHz (why go for anything less), but when I slot it in (same orientation as 030 processor) all I get is a flashing power light and a yellow screen - can't even get to BIOS! Anyone heard of anything like this before? I've spent all day on PCnet trying to figure to no avail. Is the chip fried, or do I need to do some internal soldering or somthing to bypass existing chips? One of you miggy dudes must be able to help.... >>>>> Have now found out that yellow screen on boot means: "680x0 Exception is taken before the real Exec exception handler is installed." I'm none the wiser - can anyone translate into: "your fpu is fried" or "do this, this and this.." Last edited by a1200mon; 07 February 2004 at 20:34. |
