Create Atari ST disks with Amiga

Is there a program written for Amiga which lets you can write ST disk images using Amiga's floppy drives? My PC does not have floppy drive anymore, USB floppy drives don't work, and I don't want to keep second old PC just for that purpose.
Thanx

Yes, .ST, I think are at about 800KB in size for double sided. I'm thinking, if you can write ADF to disk, the .ST should not be a problem, if you have correct software, which I'm looking for.

Dont Know if there is a tool that runs Direct on Amiga - But ive also been intrested in doing this for use with Chamaleon.

Tried STDISK which is a MS-DOS tool for writing .ST images under PC-Task on my A1200 and Seemed to work.

Just curious is this for Chamaleon or real ST?

ST disk are in similar format as PC (they use similar FDD controller - WD1772 vs uPD765 - different chips but similar idea behind them) - You can think on ST FDD as 720KB floppy from PC even with quite common file format with only minor differences.

IMO formating floppy as 720KB in Amiga should be OK.

This is for a real STE.
I can do it on PC, but I wanted to see if is possible using Amiga. Amiga has double density drive same as Atari ST, so it should be fairly easy.

Looks like good idea using PCTask, but how do I transfer the disk image to PCTask environment?

I must admit when I tried STDisk under PC-Task it was quite a simple TOS friendly 720 .ST image I havent experimented with many Disk images.

With PC-Task theres a tool called PCTCrossMount that lets you mount your virtual PC-Hard drive under Workbench

or I Think PCXAFS also works under PC-Task -You can access your Amiga Hard Drives from PCTask environment -EDIT:Not sure about this one PCX is another PC emulator - theres some compatibility between the two emulators.

Rather strange request this! I've not got ANY pc with a floppy drive and need to make some floppies to test out an STe I have here. Is there any way to write Atari ST disk images using my Amiga? Thanks. I promise I won't defect!

Cheers

Muso

Oh - I see there was already a thread here. Please mods if you want to stick this on the end of that one? There was no resolution as far as I could see...

In the mean time, I'm using old 233MHZ laptop with Win2k to create the disks, but if someone could create a program called "st2disk" which runs on Amiga I would be very happy. I myself are not capable creating such things
