Yeah, I've seen it before but never considered using it. I would give it a try if my interest in 3D printing ever rises above just curiosity levels. If/when that happens I would invest in a better machine anyway so I would be able to use more advanced materials.
It is great though that more and more filaments are becoming available every week! That alone has raised my curiosity levels a bit, I have already looked at currently available 3D printers and have been considering it. It may happen one day!

Very nice, do you have the design done as complete top and bottom casings. I do know places in China that will do the tooling and production for you if you want to upscale.

I don't have the inclination to do any of these big projects no more.

It would be interesting to see a PLA wood filament version of the Amiga case.

Here's an xbox controller someone has done. I thought it looks quite good.

i have more variants with Raspberry, Keyrah, orig. board... orig. keyboard, USB keyboard... Gotek, org. floppy.. mirco ITX motheboards

I mean price 15€ for whole model its not killing for peoples .. 1Kg good material +- 25€ and 3-4 days printing...

Well worth the price. I'd be interested in them at some point.
You've peaked my interest even more now!

very nice, would be good if there was some more height on it than the original 600 case. Would make fitting accelerators etc easier.

This is pretty awesome. Would be nice to have a Kickstarter for some injection moulded cases. The A600 has been left out, whilst the A500 and A1200 have reproduction cases available

Amiga 600 3D printed case

Hi Venox.
Amazing work on the A600. Congratulations !
I also do a bit of 3D design of our Amigas but just of the outer skins, and for 3D habitat rendering purpose.
May I ask what software you are using for modelling? I personally use SketchUp but I don’t think it is a very powerful tool, very fastidious...
I’d really love to see good quality replicas of the A600 — Im not w huge fan of the quality we get from 3D printing.

Venox, cool work on the A600! Any plans on selling or sharing the 3d files?

I'm getting good results with this for my 3d prints.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Textured-Qu.../dp/B0876XSV2N

I'm using 0.2mm layer height, coarse grit sanding then an high build primer. Finish with a heavy coat of the textured paint then a light sand with 600 grit and then another 1 or 2 very light coats to finish.
Prints look unmistakable to injection molded. It shouldn't scratch off either if done right. (make sure layers are keyed together).

edit:
they do a cream colour too to match the yellowed keys

You can't tease us like that - where's the picture?

I also love he fact that you have highlighted a pre-yellowed paint; no need for retrobrighting

I don't want to hijack to the topic, but I hope the photos give ideas on the finishes that can be achieved.

3D printed cointray for the Peugeot 205. Painted with the texture paint above.

Note the photo is taken fitted to my car in a grey dashboard. I imagine the colour match wouldn't be far off when fitted to a black dash.
It does show a good match with the textured finish of the surrounding plastic tho.

I also flocked the inside (also 3d printed) as per the original, flocking kits are available on ebay various colours.

Awesome skills. I just sold my 3D printer because I did not have enough time for another hobby. I thought I'd just download stls and start printing.

Yes - just got one in our house. Worked well for a few prints and then had adhesion issues and oozy extruder! A few failed prints later and lots of googling and it's all fine again. Definitely not a set up and print hobby though. Owner of printer (teenage son) printed me an Invasion cyberman head - came out really well. Some sanding and silver paint and it will look spiffy!

Not sure his little Q5 delta printer is up to an Amiga case though?
