Does anyone interested know Delphi because that's what it's programmed in?

I don't think the problem is that anyone knows Delphi, but rather it would be a shame if this awesome tool were to disappear...

By making it open source, anyone can learn things and enhance it, even if that means using another language (a web version maybe).

anyway, I don't think you would lost something by open sourcing it

Agreed. I would, for instance, massively appreciate something that would let me clear the map data in RAM and output the resultant USS, so as to provide a backplate for bobs that can't otherwise easily be ripped.

If open sourcing the project might bring extra functionality closer to fruition, I'd be all for it.

I developped using Delphi during the end of the last century ! :-D I agree it could be a good thing to have this tool in open source, but as I remember, some Delphi files were in pure binary, that is not really "git friendly" !

It is not a problem to store binary in git because there, it is a question of archiving the project so as not to lose it and not of working on it with several people.
