Wall Street Wizard (English)
Hey EAB peeps!
Well, yesterday I "found" the original English version of a German game called Wall Street Wizard in the spare room. It's only been sitting in plain sight in the spare room for the last 2 years! What I hadn't realised when I bought it locally - incidentally, brand new and shrinkwrapped - was that it wasn't the German version (which is the only language version listed in the HOL entry - soon to be changed BTW!). The other thing to mention is that when I bought it, I only did so coz the brand new German version in my games collection had a badly cracked case when it arrived in the mail from overseas years ago. For $5 I thought to myself, "What the hey, I'll buy another German copy!" It could've been so easy to have passed up the offer of buying a game I thought I already had (even though it was damaged!). Obviously luck was with both me and you that day my friends - the English version of Wall Street Wizard is quite rare and apparently another Ami game that has been MIA! http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=58653 In the Zone. Enjoy! Last edited by DrBong; 29 April 2015 at 17:11. |

You're welcome guys!
I already have another release lined up for uploading here (related to Wall Street Wizard actually!), but it's a couple of weeks off at this stage coz it's yet to be posted from overseas. Until I get it in my hands, I'm not sure if it will work with both the English and German versions of the game. Anyway, it's not in HOL or TOSEC and other game databases have listed the release for PC/ST (but not the Ami). |

Hi DrBong,
I also have this still shrink-wrapped and it was distributed by Pactronics. Was yours also distributed by Pactronics? I guess we both should image a CAPS image. So they have 2 to compare against I guess. Very weird we both have the same title and both are shrink-wrapped BTW, mine has the original price tag of $39.95 on it. Here is a photo of the front and back from the one I have. This version is published by 'Lifetimes'. Last edited by niobyte; 01 May 2015 at 15:11. Reason: Added Photos |

Yes, please dump. I used to live near the publisher. They copied in house, so user written disk. Hence two dumps would be great.
I actually bought the remaining lot of this packaging - more than 400... Same clamshell style used for early Rainbow Arts etc. |

Amazingly enough, the seller still has pics online of Wall Street Wizard (and all the other games he had for sale): http://goo.gl/F8y7nt (front view) http://goo.gl/5hr3Xx (rear view) You'll notice that a few of the copies of Wall Street Wizard in the first pic have price tags on the front ($39.95 like yours, if memory serves). The seller initially started flogging some of the games on Ebay, then must've run out of puff and ended up contacting buyers privately to offload them quickly. The trouble is that he emailed a Norwegian buyer before he did me, even though I was local! Predictably, the Norwegian guy bought up multiple copies of all the rare games (probably to re-sell and profiteer!), and I ended up missing out on some real obscure gems (Psycho, Santa Paravia, Black Magic, Dream Zone, Quadralien US release, Darius+) that I didn't have in the collection and weren't in HOL. Wouldn't have minded so much except the local seller here let them all go for a song to the Norwegian guy ($5-10 each), which I would've happily paid double for. Oh well, I can't really complain too much......I still managed to get quite a few nice NOS games for not much between the leftover scraps (Wall Street Wizard, Murder on the Atlantic, Ringside DE release, Atomix, Roll-Out, Time and Magik, 5th Gear, Snoopy, Steel, Joker XWord) and the seller's initial Ebay auctions (Antago, Crazyshot, Oops Up, Astate, Kenny Dalglish Soccer) @Supamax Last edited by DrBong; 09 May 2015 at 19:46. Carlo, Mr Vince said what i have found on the CTraw dump you made :
"They copied in house, so user written disk". So not duplicated, hence all tracks are seen as "modified". |

Should I still provide my dump? Even though the last few sectors are bad on Side 1? Side 0 has no errors.

I have finally got around to uploading the Wall Street Wizard disk I had imaged that was in the sealed original I have.
The disk has bad sectors towards the end of the disk on side1. Hopefully this RAW CAPS image can still be used to compare DrBong's disk image with the one I have provided. It is now available in TheZone! |

@irfcar
Apologies for the delay in responding to your PM a couple of days ago. Everything that gets uploaded to the Zone is stored on Turran's FTP server once it expires after 60 days. Here's the FTP server link to the English version of Wall Street Wizard: https://is.gd/Y92Eia |
