Copy application onto a floppy image.

I am hoping there is a way to copy a text editor adf to a disk image so that it can be mounted to my GCC window.

Any help is appreciated!

Not sure what you mean. A ADF (Amiga Disk File) is already a disk image. It does not need to be copied. And what is a "GCC window"? GCC is the GNU C Compiler?

Try to press F12, go to Floppy drives page and insert the ADF into DF0.

Thanks Thomas - I actually figured that out but didnt come back right away because I was excited to try the text editor = which by the way did not work the way I planned - it closed the program I wanted it to run in tandem with.

On the bright side the gcc environment I am using already has a text editor - unfortunately it does not have syntax highlighting, but it runs beside the compiler nicely so I'm happy with that for now.

Happy New Year

It probably just opened a new screen. Try dragging the screen title bar down after the text editor opens, or try LeftAmiga-M to cycle through screens, or LeftAmiga-N to cycle to the Workbench screen. It's rare for Amiga programs to close other programs.

Your right - the window resized and I thought it replaced the main program - when I hit the front/back toggle the screen returned to the original size and I was able to access the main program again.
