Note that "8svx.wagner" is the Magnetic Fields intro music which is a brief recording of "Siegfried's Funeral March" from "Götterdämmerung" by Richard Wagner.
You can also hear it in the movie Excalibur (1981).

I think it's sampled from the old movie Excaliber. Or if not that movie used the same tune.

i always found it very dramatic for a title card tune It caught me off-guard the first time I heard it and had the volume up a little too much.

quite all the Magnetic Fields games had the default volume output set a bit too much high
ie, the Super Cars 2 main menu tune, too much difference from the ingame sfx imo

Scared the hell out of me every time, even when I knew it was coming. Maybe the fact that Lotus 2 doesn't have it is what makes it my favourite of theirs?

I remember asking that question myself here a few (wtf this was 2006!) years ago. I remember I needed to know for my supercars 3 java remake.

https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php...+Funeral+March

Scary with loud volume from a previous game!
