WinuaeX - Keyboard & mouse?
I've spent the last 3 hours looking online to see if I can get an usb keyboard and mouse for my xbox.
Through google, I've managed to find 3 items that sound like that they could fit the bill, they are as follows:- Powerboard Magicbox XFPS and Smartjoy Frag But then I read on some sites that some may not work with emulators. Ive just downloaded the latest version of Winuaex and I have to admit that it is very good compared to one of the very early versions I last tried. All i need now then is to get the mouse and keyboard working and I'll be in gaming heaven. Please !! Many thanks in advance. |

These look like custome adapters, they take PS/2 keyboards/mice and convert to 1 (one) joypad. Their compatibility will be unknown.
Just get two bog standard USB adapters (literally just a different shaped connector) and use any USB keyboard/mouse you like? http://www.netpcdirect.co.uk/xbusbadap.php Last edited by alexh; 02 August 2006 at 13:17. |

Thanks mate. One on order now.
Just one more question, now I'll have one of these adaptors, will I be able to use a wireless usb keyboard and mouse with the adaptor? Are there any limitations? Thanks again. |

no guarantees they'll work, but as long as they appear as 'normal' USB devices (ie: don't need special drivers to be loaded in Windows to be able to use.. umm I think they need to appear/be detected as HID devices (?)) then they should also work on the XBOX. I've got a couple of the 'xbox connector to normal USB connector' cables and they work fine with a MS optical mouse and BENQ USB keyboard.

You will need 2 if you want to use keyboard and mouse.
