Fblit and WinUAE

I know that there is an option called "immediate blitter" in WinUAE which would make FBlit obsolete.

But still, I tried to use WinUAE with FBlit just to see how compatible WinUAE is. But it doesn't work, the icons on Workbench are mostly blank (you only see their frame) or contain graphical garbage. Option "immediate blitter" is turned off.

I use OS 3.1.4 with PeterK's icon.library.

The same install in a real Amiga works.

I use my A600 Furia's sd card with winuae....os3.1.4....with fblit/ftext....same settings as my Amiga...020/68882 2meg chip 9.5 fast ram...ecs....all works like a charm...on both machines....I think winuae can corrupt the sd/cf card(pfs3) as after a winuae session sometimes my pfs3 file system has errors...I use pfs doctor once a week now.....also I shut down winuae properly and not put the laptop into stand by/sleep mode.

The reason I say this is when I've booted my A600 with the sd card after a winuae session...the icons try to show up but the system locks up......after a scan/fix with pfs doctor all works.

Not again.. Much better proof required!

It could be adapter, too different config (or Amiga side software) or card or adapter. It does not prove anything if card works in some other adapter because used transfer mode can be totally different in PC USB adapter.

There are too many crappy hardware that randomly corrupt data. Just check older threads.

I move PFS3 formatted CF cards between emulation and real hardware all the time. Never had any problems.

EDIT: Hang seems like IDE transfer missed data. Filesystem hang would not hang whole system (as in mouse stopping moving). Sounds more like unstable system, next time it happens, let the system warm up few minutes and reboot. Does it work now? Does pfsdoctor report anything?

Same install as in same harddrive? "Plain" same install does not guarantee anything, for example inactive but installed P96 can cause side-effects.

This has at least one known bug that it handles long file names improperly. 3.1.4 came with its own icon library which is recommended for it.
