Amiga 1000 Chip RAM

So I have an Amiga 1000 with 256k of chip RAM built-in and a 256k front panel expansion. I need 1MB of chip RAM, so what's the best way to go about doing this? The side panel is still open. Can I replace/add memory directly to the motherboard? Is it possible to solder memory of a higher capacity onto the expansion card? I've been trying to do research on this, but it's really hard to find useful information. People only care about the A500. =P

I don't think the A1000 can use 1MB of chip ram without some serious modifications.

You'll likely need some ECS custom chips to make use of it even if it's there, and it might not then be addressable by those chips without hacking the motherboard.

The original Agnus only works with 512M of chip RAM. You would need to somehow retrofit a "fat" Agnus in there to do 1M.

There were some kits to do this back in the 80's, I think, but it would be hard to find them now. A rare item called the "rejuvenator" or something like that comes to mind.

0.5M or 512K.
