Which revision A500 is it? NTSC?
If it is not an A500+ then one upgrade would be a CHIP RAM expansion. A MegAchip / MiniMegi. As you are in the US there are lots more of these available for some strange reason (perhaps they sold more B2000's over there or something?) Although they are still expensive Judging by your other posts I think you are looking for an internal RAM expansion eh?? If not, do you have a anything connected to the side-car slot on the A500? A GVP HD8+ SCSI hard drive with RAM would give a nice 8Mbytes of FastRAM and a SCSI hard drive too. An A590 would give 2Mbytes and a hard drive. Last edited by alexh; 02 July 2008 at 20:12. |

AmigaKit has some 1MB expansions for A500 in stock, which would give a stock A500 1.5 MB ram. But those are slowmem expansions, some call it fastmem by mistake. If you want proper fast ram, expansion port boards or CPU boards are possible.
The trick might be to find someone with a working SCSI or IDE interface with populated memory slots to sell them |
