A1000 green boot screen, CIA replacement from A500 safe?
Hi!
It appears my recently acquired A1000 may have taken damage from an apparently faulty Gotek drive I connected to the DF1 port. The machine now gets only to a light green screen at boot, which I read can be a sign of a faulty CIA or a problem with on-board RAM. I'm new to the almighty A1000 so I'd like to confirm whether the CIA chips used in the A500/A500+ motherboards can be used as a replacement before I open the hood. Are there any differences? I believe all 8520s are identical apart from the physical package. If it fits, it's compatible.

8520 CIAs are Identical for A1000,A500,A2000 and A3000. It was the same part number when ordered from CBM.
