Theoretically it's possible with HAM mode I guess, but it would be so slow as to be unplayable I would have thought.

Actually I remember reading that there was a game under development years and years ago that used HAM, it was never released though and off the top of my head I can't remember the name. Will have a look...

no it's seems to have a programm for the zx spectrum emulatore, with it you can change the number of colors to a game, with hard work for sure

Come to think of it, why would you want to do it anyway? Something like Unreal looks amazing as it is. It's not the number of colours, it's what you do with them.

That would take a massive amount of effort, I'm not sure it would be feasible.

Well, Brataccas was originally conceived on the Spectrum as Bandersnatch.......maybe they forgot they were coding for Amiga I always thought it looked like a Spectrum game......

It must have been very hard in 1986 spending $2000 on an A1000 and convincing your friends that games like Brataccas were the future of gaming entertainment!

Are those Magnetic Scrolls games really 4096 color? I seems like just the title screens were HAM mode.

All Bill Williams games are 4096 color. Even Mind Walker (higscore screen)

I remember a game called Top Banana which claimed to use HAM. Not sure if it did though.
