Tried Technosound, tried Stereomaster...looking to buy summat better! - Page 2

OK, I've been sampling into Octamed directly which sounds super crunchy and cool, but sampling through Audiomaster IV (in mono) sounds significantly better. Problem is when importing them to Octamed they're too big to play back properly. Does anyone sample into Audiomaster regularly that could guide me on how to best set it up for octamed?

Also, exporting from Audacity sometimes works great, sometimes doesn't at all.

Does it not load the sample at all into OctaMED or is it only playing half of the sample? If it is playing only part of the sample you can change the pictch of the sample up an octave level in the OctaMED sample editor. Go to the editor and select `Range All`, then find the `Change Pitch` button/button. Select `Octave Up`, unselect `Anti-alias`and you should be able to play the sample back. I often have to do this for my sampling in DSS8+ as well.

thanks, the octave up does help some of them. Mostly they load up, but they either just play the start or kind of glitch out. I think I helped it a bit by saving as 'compressed' from Audiomaster which limits it to 1 octave which helps keep the file size under the 128k limit for octamed
