Need a US based EBay buddy

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=350044078177

Hi all I wanna buy one of the above... An Acard AEC-7720U SCSI To IDE Bridge Card/Adapter 3.75

The seller doesnt post outside the US. He is based in Ohio.
Would anyone here be kind enough to receive the item and send it on to me in the UK?

Many thanks.

Check out this auction. I've bought a couple of SCSI to IDE bridges (they work perfectly) from him and he will ship worldwide.

I am planning on BPPC SCSI ---> ACARD ---> CF Adapter with 4GB card ---> SCSI CDROM ---> active terminator.

You'd think AmigaKit would stock these? They are dirt cheap and he's surely got contacts in US? He's got a US store for example!

It's an I/O Data IDSC21-E (it's written on the back in the photo!)

Another SCSI->IDE bridge to look out for is a Yamaha V769970.

So these brands work as well as the Acard variants?

One is connected to a Comspec SA1000 SCSI controller for the Amiga 1000 with an IDE to CF adaptor and the other is connected to a CMD SCSI controller for the Commodore 64 with an IDE to SD adaptor. I can confirm that it is an I-O Data IDSC21-E and my experience has been that it works just as well as the Acard AEC7720U (that's the only other converter I've tried).

They should consider picking up 5-10 to see how well they sell. I've often wondered why they don't carry IDE to CF adaptors too.

alexh - are these the same adapters that work with the *ahem* Atari ST? (using an ACSI->SCSI adapter first of course)

Yes.

The I/O Data IDSC21-E was confirmed working with the official Atari MegaSTe ACSI->SCSI card over at Atari-Forum

Time to ressurect this...

In the absence of any response from AmigaKit, I am back to looking at these items...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Acard-AEC-7720U-...3286.m20.l1116

I would appreciate if one of you our American members would receive this item for me and send it on to the UK...
