2 GBA1000 boards for sale (will bring them to AmiWest)

Ok fellows, I have finally figured things out regarding the GBA1000 boards.
I have 2 extra and am putting them up for sale. I expect to attend AmiWest next weekend and (if I make it there) I will bring the boards with me.
So feel free to PM me offers on the board(s).

Ok, to clarify a little, the boards for sale are 2 boards I have left from the order I organized. I can e-mail pictures on request
I expect >$50 per board, so feel free to PM an offer or make one in this thread.

I have always been interested in building one, the only thing that has stopped me is being able to easily source the parts, the ram for example, the only place here in Australia wants like $70 a chip and they can go and get <Omitted>, getting the PAL's programmed etc.

Ok guys, I received a lot of offers so I had to go by date of offer.... the lucky guys are:

Delta (at Amiga.org)

and

Frite (at A1k.org)

I'll post again if (one of) these deals falls through.

Sorry for not having boards enough for everyone.... maybe someone else can organize a new production run?

Interested in a new production run of GBA1000 motherboards

Hi Kristian,

I'm interested in organizing a new production run of boards. I believe we met when I was down in Cupertino at a certain company headquarters after-hours, with Tony and Bill. How many inquiries did you get when you posted to sell these two?

If there's another run, I'd be in for one (maybe two actually).

I put a post up regarding an A1000, if you want it purely for the case, it works, the case isn't wonderful, but could be cleaned up with Retrobrite.

Make an offer if interested.

Is Kristian95 still on here?

If so can you post the GBA1000 eagle files in the zone?

Sorry for my (very) long absense. I have the eagle files, as to whether I can post them in the zone, I am not sure, I think you would have to ask permission of Georg Braun who originally designed the board.

From this thread, I smell sour grapes on GB's part. :-( (I have no idea why he was so miffed at his work being spread with attribution (albeit without permission) when it was previously freely available on his own Web site.)

So, in the all-too-likely case that he refuses permission, there are several ways I can see of getting more people in on this project:

1. We could capture the (still available) schematics into EAGLE or some other layout program.
2. We could redesign it, either from scratch or based on C=A's schematics.
3. Someone could spread the existing files anonymously, such as via Usenet or BitTorrent.
4. Someone could start up another group buy of the existing design (still needing permission from GB, though he might allow K95 to do it again).

Whatever, people are still interested in (literally) building their own computer. I'd probably buy two to start with, then work on some improvements (a jumper block to allow the use of unmodified off-the-shelf floppy drives should be straightforward, for instance).

I understand that Georg would like to be asked before someone spreads his work. After all, is there even a need to put the files on aminet when they were freely available on his homepage?
I remember from back when I handled the order of the pcbs that Georg was worried that he would get into a lot of issues with people who didn't know how to build the board and he didn't want to be involved in that part.

As much as I don't necessarily understand that it is his right to do so...

The Amiga scene's gold should be shared with anyone, why hold onto something that is not worth anything generally? Amiga is long gone, at least that motherboard design is.
