The Amiga was still cool in 1995 thanks to the original, now here we are in 2022!

Just brilliant, looove the music <3

I understand the interest for the Demo scene to limitate Hardware but for the games not really... especially games relying heavily on CPU like 3D sims, FPS, RTS, Point'n'click). The Amiga was designed to be expanded since the Amiga 1000.

That said, it is up to the developpers of course. I'm happy to see many quality productions on the Amiga, no matter what the setup recquired is.
Agreed! A1200/060 will always be a de facto standard, just like OCS. All good Amiga games, demos, and setups welcome IMO

Hi! Thank you all very much for the feedback, we didn't expect such a reception

We are now fixing some compatibility issues of the trackmo version and then we will make a file version as well.

By the way, for those interested, this Sunday we will be on the Amiga Wave channel to talk about the development of the demo (it is a Spanish channel but maybe the automatic translation can help )

Thanks!

Are you kidding? That's probably the most amazing production I've seen in decades. I can only imagine how it would've been received back in the early scene days.

Very impressive indeed. I love the reference to Starstruck at the end.
You should make a port of Silpheed for the Amiga.

I asked a friend of mine a similar question to what would have happend when the amiga in 1985 would have been presented to the world while running the Batman Rises demo ? ... Would it have been a cheat from the future because development environments and tools were not so advanced at that times? For sure the amiga would have been even more be recognized as the machine which enabled IT entering a complete new level in terms of advancements in art and expression.

@RhinoBG thanks for creating such masterpieces !!

to re-celebrate Batman Rises on day 6 after its release day ... in fact I reviewed it everyday since ... I created a direct start link for vAmigaWeb to auto mount batman rises disk1 to df0: and disk2 to df1:

the following link direct starts emulation of batman rises on vAmigaWeb (be sure to switch your display to 50 fps for best expierience)

with correct aspect ratio

It looks to me that sub pixel precision polygon outlines are employed. I believe it was only discovered a few years ago that the blitter can do this and I’m happy it’s being employed here (_if_ that is what I’m seeing). I always wondered why flight sims and other 3D apps rendered stuff so wobbly…and how they’d look like if they knew this trick back then.

I think the videos of Vespertino are for the extended plug-in hardware version. Don't think any videos of any work on the stock CPC 6128 have been shown so far.

CPC Chase HQ has one hell of a frame rate if you look at the size of the roadside objects and notice all the stripes on the road are dithered blocks and therefore waste CPU time to draw them in. The Batman Group could probably double Chase HQ's frame rate just by using rasters.

That's a problem chrome has, if I was to believe in Chrome I couldn't download nothing from aminet. There's a lot of Amiga content that kips me giving the same problem again and again. Still you can download it it's just a bit cumbersome. Sometimes it doesn't even gives me the warning I have to download link from the popup menu

the game will run on cart but on CPC old, not CPC plus.

The CPC is able to make 25 and 50fps scrollings.

Chase HQ is great programming, but that's 1989 coding.

The cart is more than just a ROM, just like Alcon 2020 cartridge does for the standard CPC.

THAT is why there is no footage of the regular CPC6128 version shown. They have no idea what frame rate it will run like without the simulated cartridge in the emulator used at the moment and no work on that version has EVER been shown for that exact reason. TBG had already told us all of this in 2021, they can not comment on what the CPC6128 disk release will be like
