In 1983, this was a fresh breeze among all those tank and infantry war games. Fourty years later, there haven't been many more games which tried something like this. Because nobody wants to play such a thing, or because it is just damn hard to get right?

The latter for me I tried to get into those early SSI titles once and I have to say they are too dry for me. Good review though

Having spent much of my highschool years in (physical) tabletop wargaming certainly helps appreciating even those ultra obscure ones on some level. I'm obviously aware that this is the niche of the niche of the niche

I had a friend that got into those games because his older brother played them. He then tried to convince us to try them too. After about an hour we started playing BattleTech instead
