Help finding two games!
Hey everybody! My name is Nick and I am an old Amiga 500 fan. I played the heck out of mine when I was a kid before we got our PC (I'm 28 now) and there were a couple games I particularly liked. I remember them in explicit detail but I can't remember their names. I have searched google pretty intensely and looked at games list, but found neither. I was hoping I could prevail upon your guys' expertise!
One was a game that I could have sworn was called "SYS". You were this little guy who looked like a red pepperoni, and you moved around the game board shooting disks moving virus characters. The viruses would look like a joystick, a horseshoe shaped magnet, an LED, etc. The blue disks you could either "eat" or shoot, and there were gray/metal disks that you should shoot but not eat, and would stick to whatever wall they hit. As the levels progressed, the viruses got both faster and more aggressive (kind of pac-man style). The other was a submarine game where you were a nuclear submarine in a world where most of the world's major cities had been taken over by aliens, as were the major navies. You had to evade or destroy the aliens' ships with your choice of a couple different types of torpedoes, and launch your nuclear missiles at the cities to crack some kind of bubble that had been built over them. It's driving me nuts! Thank you so much for your help! Nick |

YES! Thank you! I knew I wasn't crazy. I can't believe I couldn't find any mention of the game anywhere online... it was awesome.
Now that submarine game. And maybe I'll find Sinking Island somewhere soon too! |

I got it! I had to think of some keywords to put together that would find it... I remembered that the type of SLBM you used against the aliens was a Trident missile, so i searched for "amiga submarine cities alien 'trident missile'" and got it! It's called SeaLance! I can't wait til I get some free time to play it... man, I lost so many hours to that game. Thanks everybody!

Heck yeah, that's it. Unfortunately German is not in my linguistic repertoire - I'm more of a Romance languages guy.
I have to get this Amiga Forever to get a copy of the boot software. My Amiga is long since gone with the wind, but I would get such a kick out of playing these old games again it'd be well worth the cost. |
