Suggestions
Helloooo!
I've just got a couple of suggestions really... It mainly stems from the JIT bar Could you make it possible so that the JIT bar is set to a value that stays the same when you turn JIT off... For example, if I'm testing whdload games I always have JIT off, but when it comes to packing the games up I turn JIT on. Whenever I click the JIT checkbox it sets the amount of JIT memory to 8. I want it to default to 1mb as 8 makes winuae horribly juddery on my system. Also can you make it so that when you set it to 0 it doesn't uncheck the box? It's really annoying when I drag the slider to 1 and overstep it by 1. It then unticks the box so I have to re-tick it and then move the slider (hopefully the right amount this time) to 1 again. I want this because I turn JIT on and off while winuae is in use, I know people may say set up two configs but then I'd have to switch in and out of the configs waiting for winuae to load each time. |

Something that I'd find very handy in WinUAE is a window, logfile or something containing details of illegal custom register accesses very very much like WHDLoad's SNOOP feature. Using WHDLoad SNOOP on a real Amiga has a few unavoidable problems - slowing down the game and occasional incompatibility - and I don't think these would apply to a WinUAE solution.
Just a thought |

JIT: JIT check box is simple hack, there is no separate check box-config setting and cache size setting. (JIT cache > 0 = checked, JIT cache set to zero = not checked)
"SNOOP": try "wd" in debugger. |

I guess I can store JIT slider position internally and restore it when ticking JIT-check box..

thanks very much. I didn't think it would involve much work! Cheers |
